Simon kissing him is entirely an accident and he's sure as can be that he didn't encourage it, didn't give any sign, but Simon looks so burned when he pushes him away that he tries to make it easier.
"I'm the commander, you see," he finishes, lamely, and Simon nods, and he wants to curse at the sudden desire to grab Simon and kiss him, because that one kiss was nice. "It wouldn't be... appropriate."
He gives in to one want, but definitely not the other, not ever, and curses before turning, only just stopping himself from stomping as he walks away.
