Rydia looked disturbingly womanly like that, in a pretty dress with ribbons in her hair, talking to Rosa about something that was, no doubt, intelligent and clever and completely boring to him.
Edge was nervous. Rydia, like that, made him nervous. Because she was pretty -- no, she was beautiful, and beautiful girls made him nervous, and not only because they usually came with boyfriends or lovers who might make Edge's life a misery.
Rydia didn't have a boyfriend, so Edge's nervousness was more due to the fact that she might have one very soon, and that it might not be him.
