Summary: Sorceress dreams and imagined lands. For
darkranger.
In his strangest dreams the sorceress brings, Seifer dreams of an entire land -- like an escape just from him, and he'd gladly wriggle free of his skin and let the sorceress in to go to that world -- not for forever, of course not, but for a time. A time that allows him to forget Squall's body bound tight to a wall and Rinoa's accusing eyes.
There's a man there. Seifer's met him before -- in a bar, and he seems as ill at ease there at first as Seifer feels himself. He buys him a drink once and drags a few words out of him, his name -- Auron -- and a promise to meet there again that he doesn't know if he can keep.
He looks forward to that meeting, even when he stands against everyone he once cared for, he can only think of the man. He tells himself that all he wants is companionship, that the man doesn't draw him at all -- but he does. There's something about him, secrets, mysteries, sorrows, that Seifer considers his right to know, his right to find out more about.
The sorceress knows, and threatens to keep him from his dreams.
But he smiles, and knows nothing can.
