Summary: Cloud ponders love.
There are things Cloud loves, and things he understands, and some of them overlap, but not as many he'd like. He loves swords, and the smooth heavy power of materia, and a good drink after a good fight. He understands things like that -- simple things that don't require thoughts.
Potions, though -- he knows they work, but he's not sure how. Tifa. Aeris. Both people, and thus incomprehensible, but more so because they rely on him, or they don't rely on him and take the weight themselves. Paradoxical.
He did think you had to understand to love. But he was wrong.
