Edmund didn't mean to kiss Peter. He didn't mean to do anything, but it just happened, like everything he did, and Peter gave him the oddest look and turned away. It hurt, that his brother, his King, would turn his back, but he lifted his head and took it.
It was his fault, after all.
Peter looked at him, for a while, as if he didn't know him. But one night he showed up in Edmund's room and stood at the door, looking as if he'd like to put his hands in his pockets and slouch a little. "Ed?"
"Yes?"
"Can I come in?"
