Garnet vaguely remembers it, the boat and the storm and the wind all around her, and the clenching fear in her stomach that was the only thing that kept her from being sick into the sea. In her dreams she's there again -- stuck in one instant of it -- the little boat tossed high on a wave and the sound of her own voice, a high pitched scream in her ears.
When she wakes she doesn't remember it, but she still feels sick, and she can almost smell seasalt in her hair, in the bed. She wonders what it means.
