Aerith is pretty, sat curled up with a book outside, and for once Yuffie is at peace -- watching her -- watching her smile, watching her turn the pages. The book smells nice, old book shelves and dust and libraries, and Aerith smells nicer, flowers and shampoo and suntan lotion.
It's easy to be calm with Aerith there, sat like that. She closes her eyes and rests her head against Aerith's leg, and Aerith plays with her, gentle, almost motherly or sisterly, but not, her eyes on her book.
Yuffie smiles and leans up to kiss her and spoil the quiet scene.
