aheadonourway.
Through time, she's waited, just for him. Just for him she's held herself ready, not letting herself fade, always finding a new person to feed from, a new person to leave half mindless and without a past. The goal is Squall, the one person cold enough to be her successor, the one person cool enough to be comfortable for an ice queen to live within. She knows he's coming -- feels his presence in the twisted timeline she can't cross. She tries to be patient, but when he first accepts her into his mind, she feels like she's been waiting forever.
They fit well together, her into him, and for once she's confident in her master's abilities, perfectly content to come when she's called and give him every ounce of ability and strength she has. She strains herself to the limit with him, soothing his angers, his fears, keeping him cool and steady and ready for what life throws his way. She fears his death more than anything, the moment when he stops; as he gets older she burrows deeper, nested in his comfortable mind until they both forget that they're two, not one.
She dies with her master, tired of waiting.
