His first was an Al Bhed, of course. He was fifteen. Just fifteen. He'd been in a fight that day, too, been in a fight alongside her, in fact. They'd been fighting fiends that came to threaten Home. The adrenaline rush had been amazing. And he'd been showing off. He'd been trying to catch the girl's eye, just because he barely knew her and he wanted to see if he could get her to like him. She was eighteen.
She was eighteen, and when she touched him, she was confident and smiling and easy. He wasn't quite so relaxed. He fumbled. He fumbled and messed up and blushed when she laughed at him. She laughed at him.
But it turned out okay.
He didn't really know anything about her. He knew her name, of course, and that she was eighteen and had done it before. And then she was a good fighter and knew some black magic as well as relying heavily on grenades.
Not much information considering she was his first lover.
But sex with her was good. Real good. Even though he was awkward and he blushed and she laughed, even though he came way too soon, like some inexperienced virgin which he hated to admit he was.
The second time was a little better. And the third he was starting to get cocky about.
But when she got herself another boyfriend, it wasn't like he cared. Not really. She said it best. Smiling. "It was fun."
"Yeah."
And that was it.
