Summary: Even sleeping back to back didn't keep out the chill. For mako_reactor.


It was a bad night. Darker than dark in a chill and depressing way, and even Aeris' back against hers as they shared a small space of the tent for warmth didn't help. It was a bad enough night that this morning still makes her shiver as she slips from the covers and gets properly dressed again.

The future just doesn't seem too bright, that's all. It's not really getting to Yuffie -- just a little and only on bad nights.

After all, there's so much to smile about.

Like Aeris' hand in hers, warm and soft and friendly, and her little smile.
