Sometimes, she was so brittle. Other times, she was the strongest person he knew -- in a completely different way to B'lanna, of course. She seemed to change so quickly, and perhaps it was that that sometimes, made her seem fragile.
She sat in that seat that sometimes she seemed made for and that sometimes seemed like it'd break her, and sometimes he just wanted to reach out and lend his strength to hers. He wanted to reach out and lace their fingers together, hold on tight to her, and give her whatever it was she needed.
But like B'lanna, in some ways, she resisted the help. She was the Captain. She had to stand alone.
He still wanted to help her.
