They never seem to get there in time, never seem to get to a crystal and hold onto it, and that brings a kind of despair to Rydia that nothing can touch. Time and time again she wonders where to lay the blame, whether it's with her or with one of the others or just their damn bad luck.
Edge doesn't let it affect him. He goes on, so she goes too, if only to make him look at her as more than just another girl. If only to make him see.
