FFVII: Need

It comes over him suddenly, sometimes, the knowledge of what was and what happened and the memory of letting go of Aeris' body, letting her drift away. And then Tifa crouches beside him and puts her arms around him and holds him silently.

She always seems to know exactly how to be there, and when, she seems to know him inside out, or maybe she's just that good with people. Either way, he's grateful.

He needs friends more than he knew. Especially now he's let one go and watched her sink, watched her fall away through the water.

Oh, yes, he needs Tifa.

Colour me amused that the drabble is angst but your mood is cheerful XD Ahem. I actually see Aeris a little in Tifa in this drabble, or else I just associate Aeris with the "how and when to be there" kinda thing. :)
