Edward smiles at Rydia a lot.

Edge can't comprehend why they get along so well. Edward is nothing like him, really, with his soft ways and his love of music. The only time Edge touched a musical instrument he was just about as quickly banned from it.

He gets a little jealous of the way Edward can make Rydia sit and listen. She looks lovely like that, so he never has the heart to drag her away. She sits with her eyes closed, her hands in her lap, so calm.

He's jealous of her too, because he can't capture that calm for himself.

I like this. It works well, although I'd never have thought of Edward and Rydia getting along. Mostly because I try to ignore Edward's existence since he's a total chicken-wuss. :)
