FFIX: Rebound

Summary: Blank always lets himself be the rebound.


Blank draws back and away now, like he always does, 'cause Zidane's all shiny-eyed and silly over Garnet. It's happened so many times before, but now Zidane is leaving -- going off to save Garnet.

He guesses it was always going to be this way, but it still hurts. He's always been there for Zidane. His confidante and his rebound.

No more, then.

Blank resolves to that, even though doing it makes him feel bitter and cold inside. He won't be second for Zidane. He loves him (always will) but he's not going to go running anymore.

At least, he doesn't think he will.

Awww! ;_; so sad.

Nitpick, first paragraph: "Zidane is leaving -- going off to save Zidane." I think perhaps one of these was meant to be a different name?

I think my brain has set up Blank/Zidane as an angsty OTP.

Blank/Zidane are my second favourite pairing ever! Seifer/Squall being my OTP of course! And Riku/Sora is creeping up there close to Blank/Zidane XD
