From the moment Tifa first met Aeris' eyes, she believed they were in agreement. Both of them had interest in Cloud, sure, but there was interest in each other there, too. They'd stick together. Friends. No matter how either of them feel.

So when she watches Aeris come back with Cloud from the 'date' in the Gold Saucer, she tries to ignore the feeling of, well, betrayal. They never really agreed not to go after Cloud, of course.

When Aeris comes to her door, hands clasped in front of her, apologetic and sweet, Tifa smiles shakily.

And she gasps when Aeris kisses her.
