Sometimes Gippal kindasorta hopes that Baralai has hit his head or something. Forgotten all the things they'd done. Fuck, forgotten the times they'd made love in their tent and tried to keep it quiet from the others. It hurts Gippal to even try to forget, so he remembers, embraces it; dreams of Baralai and what he thought was love.
He's beginning to think now that Baralai never loved him in the first place.
(And sometimes he's afraid he dreamed it all up and it never happened.)
But he can't quite get rid of the hope that Baralai just... forgot, and can be reminded.
