Rydia has always been very much aware that nothing lasts forever. First it was her father. Then it was her mother (and she still hasn't let go of the shards of grief and anger and rage, but she's no longer sure if it's fair to still be angry at Cecil). And Mist itself. Gone, destroyed, all gone.
Sometimes she wonders if it's everything she touches that suffers, but the Land of Summoned Monsters is safe (for now) and the others are all safe (for now) and it really doesn't seem like it.
She's afraid to touch Edge, in case she loses him.
