Rydia snuggles up to him, close and comfortable, and for now there's no Land of Summoned Monsters between them, no Eblan, just Rydia and Edge and the warm sleepiness that kept her sweet and his ego quiet.
She thinks that she likes him like this. The big mouth and the bragging and the huge ego are all parts of him she loves, in the right place, at the right time, but for now, close and comfortable means she doesn't want to deal with those.
Together like that, just quiet and close, they allow themselves to become different people, and that's good.
