Rosa doesn't ever remember being so terrified before. She's been scared for Cecil, scared for Kain, she's been confused and lost in fever, but she's never been hysterical with it.
Not like this.
She feels the power in the air, surrounding Valvalis, and she holds back a whimper when Valvalis touches her, forces her chin up and meets her eyes. The power is dark and beyond any control and it scares her more than anything at the same time as she craves it.
"You belong to me, little Rosa," she says, softly, and Rosa's eyes are wide with fear, but she can't fight.
