Summary: Salt in the wounds.
She walked into the classroom that day with a horribly heavy heart. She'd just got the paperwork -- that horrible paperwork -- that told her in plain words, black and white, matter of fact and undisputable, that she was going to be stripped of her instructor's license if Seifer Almasy didn't pass the next field exam.
And she knew that he would never do it. He couldn't obey orders. And if she asked him to co-operate, he'd just have to do the exact opposite of what she needed, out of principle. And reverse psychology never, ever worked.
It was like a handful of salt in the wounds when she walked in to see Seifer pressing Squall up against a wall, their fingers interwined, their mouths pressed together. She didn't say a word, but started to set out her things, ready to teach the lesson that nobody would pay attention to anymore. Squall and Seifer, their ups and downs, were far more entertaining.
