I think you really captured both characters well in this fic: Quistis wants it perfect, it has to be just right, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to make it that way. And Selphie's a good enough SeeD to want to get the mission done, but there are some lines she's not willing to cross (because they'd take her out of her happy place, maybe?)
