"I miss them."
Rydia's voice is soft and just a little far away, and Rosa doesn't know if she's meant to answer or not, but she gets up anyway, going to put a hand on Rydia's shoulder. "Who do you miss? Is something wrong?"
Rydia blinks, as if coming back to herself, and looks up at Rosa, biting her lip. "Leviathan. Asura. My... my friends. From the Land of Summoned Monsters. Time goes differently down there and I wonder... I wonder how things are changing down there without me."
Rosa wraps her arm around Rydia's shoulder and pulls her close, wondering what to say. She can hardly say that she knows how Rydia feels, because she doesn't. When they went down into the Land of Summoned Monsters, she found it strange and too quiet and oppressive. And she held Cecil's hand as much as she dared without seeming afraid. It wasn't exactly scary but it was... alien.
"If I was down there again, though, I'd miss you," Rydia says, suddenly, and Rosa smiles and brushes Rydia's hair out of her face, and tries not to let that please her too much.

It's funny how Rydia fics seem to divide pretty evenly between "two years after the game she's seventy and everyone else is 25" and "she stayed in the world above."
Being a helpless fluffbunny, I like option #2 better. -.-;
