Thank you! I think Dean's acceptance is a much deserved moment of calm and optimism, brought on by being the instrument of ending the apocalypse -- faith or not, secretly Dean feels at least a little good about that -- though in my head I do imagine him continuing to have bad times with it as well as the good.

I love endings like that in fiction. There's a truly evil one at the end of a book called Tigana, by Guy Gavriel Kay, and the beauty of it is that it makes no sense unless you've read the book but when you have, it bowls you right over. Anyway, the beauty of the end of that book is that it's both satisfying and leaves so much for the reader to imagine. I don't think I'm anywhere near that level of awesome, but I do try for the same satisfying-but-open endings.
