"This is the first time in weeks I've been sure of being able to sleep without someone barging in and waking me up," Baralai says, looking down at Gippal, spread out under him. His fingers trace seemingly aimless sweeping patterns across Gippal's skin. He's smiling, the quirk at the corner of his mouth that Gippal always wants to kiss -- though he's pinned down by Baralai's weight right now, and that desire goes unanswered.
"And?" he asks, stretching out, ready to be patient.
"I don't want to sleep," Baralai says, leaning down and finally kissing Gippal, sweet and soft and far too short. Gippal reaches up, tugging away the headband Baralai always wears, then letting himself run his fingers through his hair, feeling it soft against his skin.
"You can sleep after," he says, grinning, and lets his hand move down -- over the back of Baralai's neck, down along the line of his spine. He watches Baralai arch just a little into the touch, watches him shiver, and grins more.
"You think I'm going to let you sleep?" Baralai asks, narrowing his eyes a little, and the kiss that follows is sweet but not at all soft, and it lasts long enough to leave Gippal reeling, still not long enough to stop him wanting more.
