feywood, because she got up before her alarm even went off.
"G'morning," Zoe mumbles, and tries to peel her eyes open. The place beside her is cool and Wash is moving around their room making an unnecessary amount of noise, by which she guesses he's been up a while. "Are we crashing?"
"Good morning! If we were crashing, would I be here bringing you breakfast in bed?" He sounds entirely too cheerful, for her tastes.
"I don't see the breakfast."
"That, my sweet, is because your eyes are still mostly closed." She can hear the laughter in his voice and then he's moving onto the bed beside her, and there is the sort of rattling and clinking she'd expect from a breakfast tray. She opens one eye, carefully, and gives it a look. "Good morning," he says, and kisses her cheek, and she sits up enough and turns enough to catch the kiss on her mouth and reach up and run her fingers through his hair. He grins at her, tipping into the touch, looking ever so pleased with himself.
It's times like this that she's sure, absolutely one hundred percent sure, that the best thing she's ever done in her life was marry Wash.
