Summary: There are several things troubling Arthur. For [livejournal.com profile] feywood, because she got up on time. *grin* I haven't even finished S1, let alone S2: this is, thus, plotless.

He should probably be horrified. There are various different reasons for it. For example, the pain in his head. That, in itself, would be horrifying. Then there's the fact that there are some gaps in his memory of the night before. That should be, at the very least, worrying. Then there's the fact that he's in bed with someone. Then there's the fact that the someone he happens to be in bed with is a manservant. His manservant. Which is to say, it's Merlin.

Then, and strangely the most troubling thing of all, there's the fact that Merlin is drooling on his shoulder.

It's all a little too much, for this time of morning. Arthur tightens his arm around Merlin, wriggles his shoulder a little in an attempt to jostle Merlin's mouth shut, or something, and then lies still. Any minute now, the sun will start trying to stab his eyes out, or someone will start trying to split his head open by banging on the door, and Merlin will open his mouth and make sounds using it, and that will ruin everything.

Arthur lies quite still, feeling the warmth and weight of him -- and, if he's honest, and not romanticising it at all, the angularity of him. Which is to say that Merlin has knees, elbows, and just about any other available limb, in the most uncomfortable places possible. If he wasn't sleeping, Arthur would suspect him of doing it on purpose. Merlin's breath is also, unsurprisingly, not smelling spectacularly wonderful, this fine morning.

Arthur lies quite still, all the same.

He is, he thinks, quite happy.

How bizarrely sweet and romantic! LOL! I liked it! :-)

Nice and very Arthur. Those are the things he would notice.

Heh, that's how my Arthur-voice tends to come out.

Haha, that's how my Arthur always seems to come out. And he's always grumpy on a morning.
