The kiss burned.
It was the burning of the kiss that made Roxas remember that other life: not anything else, though afterwards he couldn't imagine how he'd never looked at Axel and realised. He should've remembered the hair, the way he looked at him, he should've felt the burn when their hands accidentally brushed --
"Hey," Axel said, looking down at him, a question in his voice that Roxas didn't know how to answer.
Wait. He did.
He reached up, tugged Axel down to him again, kissed him again, hard and hot, burning.
"Don't you ever do that again," he said, and the look in Axel's eyes said that he knew, too, and everything else Roxas could wish.
