Wakka stared at Rikku. She let him get away with that for about five seconds and then put her hands on her hips, staring right back at him in a way that was most discomforting. He took a step back and cleared his throat, deciding she was far too close as she was. "What the -- well, I know what that was, but I don't get -- "
"Well, at least you know what a kiss is," she said. There was a definite teasing note in her voice and he had no idea where it'd come from.
"Yeah, but what was it for? I don't know what Al Bhed do, but normal people don't go round randomly kissing fellow guardians, ya?"
"We're not guardians anymore," she said, quickly, and then equally quickly, "and normal people?"
"I didn't mean -- "
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Always saying the wrong thing to pretty girls." Rikku grinned at him. "Well, for your information, it was a good luck and I'll see you soon kiss. Never had one of those before? Anyway. I'm going to go back to the Al Bhed for a while. We need to gather together, decide what we're going to do, if we're going to rebuild. But I'll see you again soon, 'kay?"
"Rikku," Wakka started, and then stopped. He shook his head. "You better," he said, instead, and she grinned up at him.
"It's a promise!"
