Summary: Will had something to tell Bran, and the strangest sense of timing. For 20_est_relships.


"Bran..."

Bran made an indeterminate sort of noise and burrowed further into the blankets. Will bit his lip, unable to help a smile, and cuddled closer, snaking an arm in to wrap around Bran's waist.

"Wake up a bit. I've got something to tell you."

Bran made another vague noise. Will sighed softly, settling closer.

"I wanted to tell you that I -- Bran, I'm not human. Or, well, I'm more than a human."

Another sleepy noise. "Always thought the sex was out of this world."

"Bran. I'm serious. I'm not a normal human like you."

Bran sighed, shifting in the blankets to lie on his back, looking up at Will. "I can believe that, sometimes. I can't believe you think this is a good time to bring up something serious like that -- after I've had a hard day of work and after some pretty mindblowing sex. What are you going on about, though?"

He bit his lip. "You're right -- this is the wrong time. I... It's okay. Why don't you go to sleep? We can talk some other time."

Bran made an exasperated noise, wriggling a little to get one hand out from under the covers, reaching up to cup Will's cheek. "You can be such an idiot. You've started telling me about it. You should carry on, now."

"You used to know this," Will said, slowly. "I thought you should know it again -- things about me, and some pretty big things about yourself... Ages ago, when I was in Wales for the second time, and the Drews were here too, something happened. In fact, part of it happened the first time I was here."

Bran was frowning. "I don't remember anything in particular."

Will smiled, almost sadly. "Of course not. We took your memories away from you. I -- maybe this'd be easier." He paused for a second, closing his eyes, and then leaned closer. He kissed Bran softly, so softly the kiss was barely there. Bran took a sudden breath, going utterly still, as Will pulled back.

"What...?"

"That's what I wanted to tell you about," Will said, with a tiny smile. "I unlocked your memories for you."

There was a long pause. Will bit his lip, laying down again with his back to Bran, and closed his eyes. After a moment, Bran rolled over, closer to him, pressing against his back and slipping an arm around him. "You really aren't human," he said, teasingly. "Springing that on me and then trying to go to sleep? But for once, you've got a good idea. Let's talk about it in the morning. After breakfast."

For a moment, Will had tensed. Slowly, then, he relaxed again, cuddling back into Bran's hold. Everything, he thought, was alright -- or would be.

I really liked this. It was so normal and matter of fact. I can see them handling it just that way.

It really sprang from these lines: "Bran, I'm not human. Or, well, I'm more than a human."/"Always thought the sex was out of this world.". xD They just cried out for me to write something.
