Dear Bran,
You're right, I did turn pink. I've given up on trying to write something similarly... stimulating, at least for now. Every time I try to make a start, either one of my parents walks in, or I imagine them walking in and lose my nerve. I really am looking forward to seeing you again, though. And seeing just how patient you can be. Or impatient, as the case may be.
Still, it looks like I'll be able to come stay again in a month or so. I've had my interviews and the like and, well, it looks promising. As long as I work hard, I think I'm pretty much guaranteed a place at Oxford. Mary says I'm slacking off now, but it's not true. All I can think of is French grammar, the theme of love in A Midsummer Night's Dream, or -- well, all those things. I'd say they follow me even into my dreams, but actually, most of those end up being about you.
In fact. Next week -- Thursday, I think -- I'll be home alone all day and into the evening. Maybe you could give me a call and I'll tell you all about those dreams.
Love,
Will.
