Dear Bran,
That was almost subtle! Of course I'll come to see you. I'll call in a few days -- you'll probably get this letter first -- when I've got a little more time, and we'll try to figure something out.
I don't know what Jane's talking about, anyway. I don't have time for a girlfriend. There're a couple of girls in my extra study group, but they're just as serious about university as me and seem to regard most of the boys as miles beneath them. Honestly, I'm not very interested in girls: at least, not for now. I've got plenty on my plate already.
I'm sorry it took me a while to answer, this time. Stephen was home, and so when I wasn't studying I was making the most of him. He's being sent out to somewhere obscure and impossible to spell, now, so we shan't see him for a while. He asked after you, actually. Seems you made an impression! Anyway, it's really quiet around here now everyone's gone back to their respective niches -- there's only me and Mary around at the moment. James has gone off back to university now, of course. I wish Mary would. She'll be in here in a minute -- nag, nag, nag, shouldn't you be working Wiiiiiill?
