For a while, he didn't think.
That was refreshing, really. He'd been doing too much of that, lingering too much over things that he shouldn't've been lingering on. He had a feeling, though, that the only way he could escape those things was by dying.
It was an accident in the field, and for a while he thought -- except he didn't think --
But Zell called him back, his magic angry and throbbing, forcing him to live, breathing life back into him.
Yet what made him feel most alive was the look in Zell's eyes: fierce gladness and joy.
