John is one of my favourite characters. He's so good, despite being human. I totally cheered when he held up the sign for Bran at the end of Silver On The Tree!

I read one portrayal of Owen where he was a right bastard, intolerant, kicking Bran out for being gay and so on, and it just doesn't seem right to me, even with his Christianity. But then, I'm the one who quotes Matthew 7:1 ("judge not") and John 13:34-35 ("love one another as I have loved you") at Christians all the time...
