irish_ais. I'm not even sure it makes sense, but it was asked for, so...
"You'll pass him," Fujin says, leaning close. Xu finds herself trapped against the desk, Fujin's hands on either side of her, but she doesn't call for help. She knows that Squall, of all people, trusts the three of them -- and especially Fujin, because she learnt when to say no. "You'll pass him," she says, again, "because he deserves it now."
"He didn't before," Xu tells her, truthfully enough. Seifer's learnt now -- maybe. He might be able to obey orders now. "If he obeys orders -- "
"You'll pass him," Fujin repeats, and Xu is almost holding her breath, because Fujin is so close, almost close enough to touch. She nods slightly, silently, because she doesn't trust her voice -- and her eyes drop closed despite herself when Fujin leans closer, though the kiss is rough, making a point, anything but soft. When Fujin draws back, she doesn't know what to say, her hand resting lightly on the girl's shoulder, their faces still bafflingly close.
"I'll pass him," is all she can manage, and then, modifying, "if he does well."
"Of course," Fujin says, drawing back, stepping away. The moment feels awkward -- unfinished -- and Xu almost wants to pull Fujin back. She has a feeling, though, that she'd get nothing but the brush off for her efforts. She lets her hand fall and they exchange a half-look before Fujin turns away.
