No body to bury, no friends to mourn, but Allan takes a little time for him anyway. He tries not to think about him, really, but he still goes off alone for a while, letting himself think, letting the memories hit him with the full force of splintered little shards. Djaq and Will watched him go, but they didn't follow. Knowing, sympathetic.
It's cold, in the forest at night. As cold as death. And just before dawn, colder. Allan waits until the sun comes spilling through the trees and then he turns his back on his brother's memory and walks away.
