"I want to see it, Elle."
Ellone shakes her head again, looking away. Laguna has asked this before, and every time she has said no. No for her sake, no for his, no because of what she knows Raine would've wanted. "There's no way you can change it. Best to let it be."
"I just want to see. I just want to know what she said, what she thought, when she..."
Ellone turns quickly to look at Laguna, tears in her eyes. "She said that she loved you. That she wished you were there. That I should be good. And all you'll think if I show you it is that you should've been there for her. All it'll do is upset you and I won't do that! She wouldn't want it."
He looks taken aback for a moment at the passion from the normally quiet girl, and then he considers her words -- his eyes suddenly quiet and serious. Ellone moves forward just as he reaches out, and lets him hug her.
"You couldn't've done anything."
"I'd still like to have been there..."
Ellone sighs softly and lets her forehead rest against Laguna's shoulder. She won't give in. Not today.
