over_look.
Aravis heard his armour clinking before she even heard his footsteps, and she ran to her door to greet him with delight -- laughing at the sight of him in full armour and then covering her mouth in an attempt to hide it, in case that would offend him. "Oh my brother, you look magnificent."
"I look stupid," he mumbled, making her smile. He bent down to kiss her cheek lightly. "I fear I will not be coming home anytime soon. Take care of yourself, oh my sister and the delight of my eyes."
Aravis bit her lip. "You'll come back eventually, will you not?"
He smiled. "Of course. I don't even want to go now."
"Why not? It is for glory and honour."
"It's wrong," he said, softly. Shaking his head, he dismissed the topic, kissing her cheek again briefly. "Don't let anyone make you do something you don't want to do, little Ara. I know you're strong enough for three of me."
She shook her head, but he smiled again and turned to leave without another word.
