Lasaraleen hurries away, as soon as Aravis is out of sight. Her heart is beating so fast that she's sure she's going to die, but at the same time she feels like she's flying on the quick rush of her blood, her body feeling weightless. She's not out of trouble yet, but if she can just get out...
Aravis has always liked adventures. This, Lasaraleen thinks, might be why, though she's not sure she really cares for all the uncertainty. Much better to stay safe at home and try on a new frock. And yet --
