The rumour might've fluttered around the office for a while from time to time, but it was pretty much common knowledge that Trowa and Heero were together. It was something you just knew by looking at them -- the easy way they worked together, the casual touches, fingers brushing, sharing one mug of coffee. A newbie might speculate how long they'd been together and there might be a few that thought one day that they looked nothing more than friends, but still, nobody could shake that feeling that they were more than that.
Still, at the same time, it was nothing more than watercooler gossip. Heero and Trowa wore their enigmatic half smiles and touched occassionally, fingers brushing.
"Heero?"
"Yeah?"
"Want some more coffee?"
"Please."
Trowa half smiled, reached for the coffee cup at the same moment as Heero reached to hand it to him. Their fingers brushed and Heero looked up, biting his lip slightly. Trowa hesitated for a moment, but only for a moment, because Heero was a man of action.
The cup thudded to the ground, and some part of Trowa thanked god it was a carpet floor that was thick enough to stop the mug smashing, but the rest of him was fully focused on Heero's kiss, determined, eager. He wrapped an arm around Heero's neck, fingers curling into his hair, and thought about the watercooler gossip.
The rest of the office had their proof, now.
