Mal had known it was a bad idea to let Simon get involved. As more than a doctor, that is. Every time he got involved, he got stabbed or shot or at the very least slammed into a few walls. And now he was laying on the ground, clutching his stomach, face pale as death.
"Say something, gorramn it," he muttered, trying to remember the little he'd ever known about First Aid. "Zoe!"
"Coming, sir!"
"Simon? Say something! I told you you'd get into trouble..."
Simon opened his eyes and gave Mal an annoyed look, gritting his teeth against the pain. "Shut up."
