mount_ordeals.
He was already looking guilty. He closed the door behind him and Kain stood up, waiting, quietly, for him to do anything -- knowing that he wasn't just calling by to say hello, wasn't there by chance. Neither was quite sure how it happened but all of a sudden they were in each other's arms, kissing.
"I shouldn't have come back," Kain said, softly, but he was holding Cecil tightly, not letting him pull away. He kissed him again, with a hint of force, and Cecil didn't fight it -- wrapping his arms around his neck. "You're going to hurt Rosa, like this."
"She knows," Cecil whispered, eyes closed in shame, and then he kissed Kain again.
For old time's sake, he promised himself. Just for that. Then --
And then he'd be back for more, he knew. He hoped -- prayed, even -- that he could be a better man than that. He was counted a good man, but he needed to be a saint to resist Kain, all things considered. After so much time apart. After so much time of just having Rosa -- who was wonderful and kind and so many things he'd wanted, but not all of them -- when he'd been used to having both.
Cecil tried to be a good man. He just couldn't be good when this was concerned.
