Summary: Eiko gets Blank wrapped around her little finger. For
madain_sari.
It was the little girl who showed him an Eidolon first.
Zidane was visiting them all. Zidane and, of course, his wife. It still made Blank want to laugh, the whole idea of Zidane settling down and getting comfortable with anyone. And it was even more amusing who it was -- that it was Garnet, beautiful and graceful and, well, a queen. The idea of a queen visiting Tantalus' little hide out was also amusing -- but she did.
She even brought the little girl with her. Eiko. She was a handful -- not naughty, exactly, but mischievous enough and full of opinions on anything and everything. Blank had liked her -- enough for Zidane to start teasing the kid about her new boyfriend.
Unlike most little girls, she actually liked that idea -- or at least, she didn't say 'ew, boys' or anything like it.
She assured him that he'd probably seen Eidolons before, but was too silly to notice them. Stories hadn't told him what to expect, so he didn't realise that he had seen an Eidolon. But, she insisted, most people in the world had.
She summoned one for him to see. Blank got an impression of crackling thunder and bright light and then it was gone, and he found himself profoundly relieved that he'd never been an enemy of a summoner. He made a mental note never to become an enemy of a summoner, either.
