Rosa curls closer to him, hiding from the light with a tiny whimper as he presses closer to her, wrapping his arm around her and smoothing a hand over her bare, smooth back. Cecil doesn't want to move, caught in the spell of early morning and the realisation that he's married now; to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, and all of that, all of that weight of meaning and more. This is it. The beginning of a life together, though it seems like barely a bump in the road after all that happened.
