Simon really makes a place his own. Lying in bed waiting to come back from patching up Jayne's most recent wound, Kaylee feels as if he's still right there, just out of sight. The room is his, in a welcoming sort of way, and she can close her eyes and imagine him there. She smiles when she thinks of what she wants to do to him when he gets back, laying plans.
When he comes back, she's more than ready to drag him back into bed and distract him from his anger at Mal's stupid plans that don't get them rich.
