Cecil isn't entirely surprised to find Cid in a corner with his eyes full of tears, but he is a little disconcerted that Rosa is nowhere near to deal with it. He pats the man awkwardly on the shoulder, trying to find something to say. The older man seems to understand his quandrary, though, and forces a smile, forces some banter about how happy he is to see them together.
Cecil is silent as Cid finally, fiercely, wipes his eyes. There's a moment of silence and then Cid nods, as if giving a stamp of approval, and smiles properly.
"You'll do, lad."
