Zidane is already on his chocobo, prancing a little as he waits for the others. Blank gives a mental shrug and mounts, not liking the slippery feel of the feathers or the nervous twitching of the big bird, but accepting it as something he has to do.
Marcus is more reluctant, a fact that makes Blank smother a smile, while Zidane laughs aloud.
"Come on," he says helpfully, "they're not that bad."
"They don't look like they can support my weight."
"You're not that obese yet," Zidane says, brightly.
"Yet?"
The exchange ends in a chocobo race, a race for nothing but the fun of it.
