She didn't think he would watch her in the bath. After all, he's all rich and core-bred and so very far above her. But he did watch, of his own accord, more or less. Kaylee is not like Inara; she didn't put on any kind of show.
She just... washed.
He said he liked that better, and then she teased him and asked how many Companions he'd been with to compare her with. And then he teased her in return, and then he held her tight and kissed her.
His core-bred values were evidently no barrier, a fact Kaylee was constantly grateful for.
