"Heeey! That's mine!"
Wakka tossed the fruit from hand to hand, grinning a little. A minute too long in one spot and Rikku would be on him, all fast feet and flailing arms, but for right now he was doing rather well at staying in one place for only a few seconds. "I don't think so!"
"Hey, Wakka!" Tidus waved to him from the opposite side of the mostly walking group. Wakka hesitated and then threw it to Tidus, who was grinning like a lunatic. It was fair to say, when the brat immediately handed it over to Rikku, who stuck her tongue out at him, that he should have expected that. Yuna covered her mouth to hide a giggle and Lulu rolled her eyes -- as she always did.
"Maybe you should share it," Yuna suggested, looking from Rikku who was victoriously taking large bites out of the apple. "You know, to be fair."
"I'd've shared it if he hadn't stolen it," Rikku declared, her mouth half full, "but then he was a meanie, so I won't. I'll share it with Tidus, though."
The look on Wakka's face made Tidus snort with the effort of holding back laughter as he accepted a share of the apple from Rikku, looking over at him and waving an apple piece. "You want some, Wakka?"
Considering that was how the whole thing started, Wakka decided in favour of rolling his eyes in his most Lulu like way and falling in next to Auron, doing his best not to look at either of the silly and triumphant idiots.
He hadn't really wanted the apple that bad anyway.
