Tracey felt tears prick his eyes and blinked them away. "Miss you too, Mom."
"You okay?"
"Yup. Sergeant takes care o' me."
"Someone needs to," she teases, and he smiles.
"I gotta go already. I'm sorry. Love you, Mom."
"Take care," she says, softly, and Tracey ends the call and steps away to let another take a turn.
